How it’s made

I use a hot wire pen to burn this image onto the wood slice. No laser printers here! Rest assured that hard work and love was put into your piece. I use a high gloss polyacrylic finish to seal the wood. This will protect the piece from general wear and tear, but it will not protect it from water, sun exposure, or dropping. My favorite part to burn on this piece is the mycorrhizae. It is tedious and you have to be precise. I find beauty in the fine details and I believe that is what makes this piece so unique.
