Wood Burned Whale

This live edge wood slice was burned by hand and features a majestic whale. The grain on the wood mimics a sunset behind waves. This is the perfect gift for any occasion especially for the eco conscious since it is made from natural material!

How it’s made

I use a hot wire pen to burn this image onto the wood slice. No laser printers here! Rest assured that hard work and love was put into your piece. I use a high gloss polyacrylic finish to seal the wood. This will protect the piece from general wear and tear, but it will not protect it from water, sun exposure, or dropping. My favorite part to burn on this piece was the waves. It was tedious, but they turned out gorgeous!
